Parag Rajopadhye is a seasoned Dhol-Tasha percussionist with over 12 years of experience in India and the USA. He is the co-founder and key Tasha player of BMM award-winning SHIVA – Rhythm of India and has performed at prestigious venues including the Seattle Symphony.

From the vibrant streets of Pune during Ganesh festival to the energetic beats of Greater Seattle, my journey with dhol-tasha has been nothing short of incredible. Playing since childhood, this art form is in my soul.
In BMM 2024, I had the honor of co-leading our team to victory at the BMM Dhol-Tasha competition, a moment that truly celebrated teamwork and rhythm.
Today, as co-founder of Shiva Rhythms of India, I’m proud to bring the spirit of Indian percussion to our local community and keep the tradition alive.
