I am proud to announce that BMM of NA has selected Seattle Maharashtra Mandal as the 2026 BMM convention winner. SMM will be hosting the BMM convention after 19 years at the Seattle Convention Center from August 7 to 9, 2026. SMM was announced official 2026 BMM Convention Host Mandal at BMM's recent biannual convention in San Jose, CA.
Right after the big announcement, SMM's current EC and BCC appointed a Convener first and then the rest of the core committee. Right after hiring the core committee, SMM started hiring the Chair and Co-Chair for the steering committee. Our Steering committee has 55-60 Chairs and Co-Chairs for 20 committees.
We have already started seeing lots of excitement in many Marathi-speaking families of the Greater Seattle area and hence over 200 individuals have signed up for steering committees for volunteer positions. BMM is the largest Marathi organization outside of Maharashtra and to host their convention in our hometown is indeed a great opportunity. We all will work together and make this event fully successful and will have a memorable experience for the entire Maharashtrian Community of Greater Seattle.
